Okay I'm stumped. I had this problem a long time ago and thought I found a solution back then.
When I load a drive as a folder to verfiy in MAC 3.99 the program crashes. This PC is Prime95 and memtest stable. I can add my G: drive and all the apes there load up fine but my L: which has 153gb of apes, flacs, and mp3's just crashes.
I changed all the filenames to short names and moved the files from the folder out to the root L; to see if that would work.
I know there are a few corrupt apes in there but didn't think that would cause a crash on simply loading them up for verify.
Back in the day I had this problem and posted to Monkey's forum, I thought I figured it out and posted the solution but I didn't. I had failing RAM in the post that corrupted apes (on defrag?) but I think this thing is stable and I'm stumped.
Any way to run a command line with the MAC to verify the drive contents?
I like to set it to NOT stop upon errors so I can verify the contents of the drive overnight...unfortunately I can't even get that far.
