USB CD-RW "unsafe removal" message
« on: June 30, 2003, 07:06:18 pm »

I seem to be unable to burn CDs from within MJ8...?   ?

I have a USB2 Harddisk that contains my music files (APE format). I also have a USB2 CD-RW (Lite-On) drive that writes successfully using Roxio CD Creator, etc. However, when I launch MJ8 with the CD-RW connected, MJ8 scans for devices, then I get Win2K throwing up the "Unsafe Removal of Device" and it lists the "USB Mass Storage Device" and "LITE-ON LTR-48125W USB Device" devices... the CD-RW then disappears from the Device List...!

If you try and burn a CD from MJ8, it reports "Failed to find any CD-R/W devices on your system.".

Any idea why I can't get this to work?? I trust that MJ8 is able to correctly work with USB2 CD-RW drives??

Any help appreciated.
