Problem with support for Creative MuVo TX FM device

Is there a way to specify that the Creative MuVo supports CBR WMA, VBR WMA, but NOT lossless WMA?  This is a serious issue as Media center decides not to convert my lossless WMA files when putting them on my 512 mb player, so I end up with a huge amount of space taken up by files that I can't even play...

You could try choosing the "always convert audio" option.

yeah, but if it's a 96 kbps mp3 file, there's no reason to transcode it into a 192 kbps WMA... pointless waste of space and quality.
