Audible password
« on: November 23, 2005, 10:04:16 pm »

I installed MC 10.173 on a new computer, got a new license, seems to work except for Audible. I try to import my aa files and I get the this message.

Unknown error Module Not Registered Error Code 99 You have reached activation limit for this mobile device type or computer.

What?

I might have mistyped my audible password a time or two. Is that what's causing this? How do I fix it? I know I have my audible password right because I can log on to audible and download files. How come I can't get it to work with MC?

And I was just about to upgrade to MC11.

Not sure about the password, but Audible support is best in 11.1, available in a thread on this board.

I NEVER had any trouble with Audible before!! I've had MC for years, it's still installed on my old computer and still works. What is it with this password thing on this install? Is there a way to reset it?

If I uninstall and reinstall, will it clear up?

Try installing Audible's software and seeing if it works.

I believe Audible has a limit for how many PC's you can use one account with.  That could be the problem.

It is the Audible limit. I'll have to work it out with them!! I guess I've built too many computers over the last couple years!!

Yup, I'd forgotten about the limit of 3 activations with Audible. They reset my activations and everything good again. They'll apparently do this any time you request it via email or phone.
