double click behaviour
« on: November 23, 2005, 05:13:09 am »

when in "playing now" double clicking a file will cause it to restart.

in the general options I have set the double click behaviour to "file properties"

is this a bug or is this just how it is? anyone know how to prevent the double click in "playing now" from restarting the file?

By design, Playing Now's double-click is "special".  Alt+Enter will quickly give you properties.

yeah kewl I understand, what i am trying to do though is remove the double click behaviour from the playing now view.

a few times while DJing I've accidentally double clicked and either restarted a track or started a new one half way through one already playing.

sure I could just not double click, but sometimes it happens - so removing/disabling the d/click behaviour would be extremely advantageous.

It would be nice to have the added option for "double click" to "do nothing".

can anyone explain why the "playing now" view has it's own "special" way of handling double click behaviours which is not able to be changed buy US the users?

Sorry, but this isn't currently possible.

Maybe you could adjust the double-click settings in Control Panel to make double-clicks harder to accidently do in general.

I've been there, and it is a bit embarrrasing when 100 dancers stop dancing and give you confused looks because of an unintentional duoble klick.

So, just like newflavour I would really like the possiblity to have the double click disarmed also in Playing Now. If it isn't currently possible, please consider it for future development.

I definitely support this idea!
