Updated ASPI drivers, when?
« on: September 29, 2002, 05:40:00 pm »

I am on my fith brand of 48x writer an still MJB only sees it as fast as it re-write speed[16x], not it's write speed[48x].

Could this be a WinXP Pro issue?

I recenty got a Memorex 48-24-48, and MJ writes at 48x, no problem. It's awesome. Slam-packed CDs in under 4 minutes. Woo-hoo!

FYI, the drive comes up in MJ as a "MEMOREX 48MAXX 2448AJ." Got it at CompUSA. [ASIDE: About the only thing I miss about San Jose/Mountain View/NoCal is Fry's. Oh Fry's, Fry's, Fry's.... How I love thee....]
