Moving folders
« on: December 02, 2005, 06:20:18 am »

I've just started a Video Collection, previously everything has been
Audio, and images....

Anyhow having imported quite a few files I looked at them
through the Disk Location part of the tree.
I then decided that a certain section of videos was
not where I wanted them...

M:\lost\

I wanted them to be under

F:\Media\Video\Lost

Now I'm not sure whether the tree is yet designed to allow me to do this
but what I tried to do was click and drag from M:\ to F:\media\Video.....

What happened was an icon appeared about 4cm's above my mouse
cursor, which then followed my mouse cursor around, although 4cm's above
the mouse cursor... dropping this anywhere seemed to have no effect....

_Additional Note_
This is actually not just video but all formats....

Why not use Rename Files from properties.

You can specify a new path, and it will move them to the new location and delete any empty folders.
I use this all the time and have no problems.
