MC11 no rip no CD play

As a regular user/power user, I cannot rip nor play CDs. the administrator can well. is ist possible you wrote the code around this security standard nowadays become elementary? Or did I overlook / misconcieve something?

P.S. talking about Windows XP SP2 and MC11.0.316
