Two situations that keep giving me trouble, especially when DJ-ing:
a) I have a split view with Playing Now in the bottom pane and Media Library or a playlist in the top pane. I want to add one or more tracks to Playning Now, but not at the end.
b) I want to move tracks within Playing Now.
In both cases, Drag and Drop feels like the most natural way to do it, but if the cursor passes the fourth track from the bottom - or from the top - the pane starts scrolling. The scrolling is fast, which often gets the target position in the other end of the pane. I move the cursor there, and the scrolling goes the other way. This is not very practical. And it forces me to make the Playing Now pane larger than it would otherwise need to be, leaving less space for the "source" pane I take the tracks from.
MC behaves the same way for drag-and drop to playlists.
I can see two things that could help me out of this:
1) Make the scrolling slower - A configurable scrolling speed would probably be the best solution. It that extra parameter is bad from a complexity and/or performance perspective - Just make this auto-scrolling slow. If you want to move to another part of the list, the ruler slides are probably a better tool than a scrolling so fast that most people above 25 don't have the time to see where they are in the list.
2) Make the "scroller trigger zones smaller - maybe configurable?
Note 1: The "four tracks" zones I mention are of course going down to one, two or three tracks when the pane gets really small so there is a small "drop zone" even with just three tracks visible.
Note 2: I am aware that I can use right click Copy and Paste or Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v, but I still would appreciate a better drag and drop feature.
