I've been using MC for years, currently at 9.1 running on a Dell laptop.  A short time ago it started getting glitches on MP3 playback, where one channel will cut out, and if I continue then the other one is likely to cut out as well, leaving it silent.  If I stop the track play and re-start it then it's fine.

It seems to happen only when I use IE and am loading a web page, but I can't swear to that.  I do know I can reproduce it easily by just refreshing a web page a few times.  Sometimes I just hear a pop and it keeps playing, other times I lose one or both channels.  I have no such problems with Media Player.  And of course I have no idea what coincided with it suddenly starting this behavior among the dozens of programs I've installed, configuration changes, etc. over the last few months.

Any ideas?  I don't want to have to revert to using WMP!
