Maybe I'm being picky, but the "All & Other" view scheme just seems like extra visual clutter on the tree for a view scheme that I will almost never use.

The redundancy of the view scheme itself and the inaccuaracy of the child schemes of it make it virtually useless to me. I personally would opt to have it deleted from the tree.

Or to appease the higher MC gods, possibly merge it and the other root veiw schemes back into their own tree branch, that way you have one branch that represent the library and then its child branches represent the different media modes. Perhaps I'm speaking heresy here and will get burned at the stake, but I feel it's worth the mention.

Most of the view schemes under the "All & Other" scheme seem more like smartlists anyway.

Perhaps these are just the ramblings of an anal retentive organization freak. Nevertheless, "All & Other" seems a bit redundant to me.

very interesting you raise this, because I thought the very same thing. I believe this is pretty meaningless and could be dropped altogether.

Mr Chriz mentioned the same thing this morning...

Does "All and other" not seem a bit strange to anyone?
Usually All is fairly encompassing, so how can there be an other?
Or is this a stopgap soloution?

Not only is it totally useless but that's the only thing media center opens up to on my work computer, i am running the latest build.

No matter what options i set for startup, mc11 will only open on all & other, not only that but i don't even know what the heck it means.

Matt posted before i could get this up but i figured i would post it anyway.

It's not the view scheme itself that I partularly mind. I'm sure with a bit more tuning it would be extremely useful. However, I would much rather see it somewhere else besides plopped right in the main trunk of the tree. That way I don't see it unless I want to use it.

All & Other died a quick death.

We're pretty happy with how it's setup now.  Not much clutter for a new user and quite customizable for an advanced user.
