burn data dvd
« on: December 21, 2005, 03:07:59 pm »

I´m trying to burn a data dvd.
When I drag and drop maps to the dvd burner, I only get the map and not the subdirectorys into the burner.
Is here a parameter or a option I should put on?

MC 11.0.36
Windows XP service pack 2

Try dragging the parent folder from an external explorer to the Action Window.  MC should pick up all the folders and files.

Thanks Matt, works great.

Allthough, shouldn't it be like I tried?

I don't understand what you were trying.

Dragging from "My Computer" and an external Explorer should do the same thing in MC.

Dragging from Media Library won't know about data folders.

Yes I know.
And that is exactly what I did.

In the media Library went to: drives and devices\my computer\c: took a map, and dragged and dropped into the action window.

It seemed so obvious.

When you get to the burn action window with the "burn" button, click the "Options" button. Select CD/DVD Folder naming from the menu. Select "Same as original". Now any file you drop on the burner should retain it's original path. Do the same with CD/DVD File naming to preserve the original name.
