Rotation problem in MC11.1
« on: December 25, 2005, 09:11:47 pm »

Bonjour !

Outils "Image"

"Rotate left" et "Rotate right" sont inutilisables. Ils font effectuer aux images une rotation de +/-180° au lieu de +/- 90°,  ?

Ces deux outils provoquent, en outre et systématiquement un plantage ou un crash monumental de MC11189 !   :-[ :-\ :'(

A corriger rapidement, non ?

Merci d'avance

Ca marche ici.  Ils font 90 degrees, tous les deux.

Rotation problem in MC11.1
« Reply #2 on: December 26, 2005, 11:43:16 am »

Hi, I am experiencing the same crashes when rotating images within Media Center 11.1.89 (has been happening for the last few builds I've installed, but not exactly sure when).

Please let me know what I can provide in the way of debugging that will help resolve this issue before release of 11.1 - as it's quite an important feature for me.

Thanks,
Kwake

Outils "Image" :

Surpris par votre remarque, j'ai désinstallé, puis réinstallé MC1189 :

=> tout est revenu dans l'ordre ! (... un miracle de Noël, peut-être ?)

Affaire classée.

Merci.

Hi,

I uninstalled MC 11.1.89 and then installed MC 11.1.90, and continue to have the same problem.

The crash identifies AppName: media center.exe and ModName: ntdll.dll.

If this isn't a Media Center problem, could somebody tell me what else I should be checking to resolve this?

Thanks,

Did you try removing registry entries when you uninstalled?

Are the files or directories read-only?

Hi Jim, thanks for your help on this.

Yes, I selected the option to remove registry entries when un-installing, however not to delete the library.

No, the files in question aren't read-only. I leave them read/write so that the tags can be updated by Media Center.

I happens randomly, but quite often (every 2 to 4 rotates). It also results in some pictures being over rotated because of the frequent crashes.

It's possible that this is a video card driver issue.

OK Jim. It just so happens that I recently installed the beta drivers 5.13 for my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro card. The problems seem to have begun since then.

I'll try upgrading to the release version of 5.13, and if I can't find it downgrade to 5.12.

Thanks for your help. I'll update this thread with the results.

11.1.91 (01/02/05)

...
11. Fixed: In rare cases, rotating images or using other thumbnail changing tools could cause a crash.
...

Cool, it wasn't just me!  :D

Thanks for the fix and best wishes for 2006!
