It has taken MC 11.1.99 over 3 hours to "gather information & update view" for a DVD containing photos in jpg and (Nikon raw) nef format.  (It's not locked up; I cancelled a couple of times & it is progressing in terms of listing the files in the subdirectories; it's just very slowly reading the entire file for each file, apparently)  Is this typical?

I had toyed with using MC to catalog offline DVDs of photos, but not at this rate.

Also, MC does not recognize two files - is it because they are tiff files or because they are stitched panoramas?
