ASIO playback "detuning" acoustic piano?
« on: January 29, 2006, 09:46:58 am »

First, this is not a Media Center problem, but an issue I'm experiencing with ASIO in general on my system. When playing back audio through the ASIO driver acoustic pianos sound a little out of tune and "watery" (for lack of a better term). This happens in both MC and Sound Forge, and when I switch to a different driver the sound returns to normal. (It may happen with other instruments as well, but with piano it's especially noticeable.)

Has anybody else had this experience?

I have a Creative Labs X-Fi card and the latest drivers. Any advice, comments, feedback welcome!
