My new upgrade of MC 10.x to 11.1.111 just failed the wife test badly. I did an in-place install that seemed to have preserved many of the settings. However, all the per-device sync profiles (a motley range of USB/Mass Storage items with idiosyncratic directory and playlist settings) were lost and the entire configuration erased. Needless to say, when she went to load Sweeney Todd on her Archos and found the device not found at all I was not popular! Did I document all of them for future re-creation? Of course not!

Future feature request: a way to export device sync profiles (XML?) into config files that can be either preserved or read back in during upgrading.

Would be nice to have a similar approach to view schemes...
