Startup in different view modes
« on: February 12, 2006, 04:20:04 am »

Hi

I was hoping to find a way to start MC in different view modes depending on where I am using it from.

When I'm at my computer I prefer the standard view, but it would be good to be able to start up in thearte view when starting the program for use on my TV.  In the latter case I start MC with a bluetooth media pad (Logitech diNovo).  Can for example a switch be added to the .exe file to force the desired view mode to be enabled on startup?

Thanks!
Brent

Media Center has a command line interface which can be used
to set it to fullscreen etc.

The following command will start Media Center in to theatre view
mc11.exe /Mode TheaterView

Thanks for fast reply.

Still can't figure it out though.  Does that work with media center 11?  Do I need media jukebox for that to work?

That should work fine with Media Center 11
I'm using 11.1.116

type the command exactly as I have shown it.

Ignore my English spelling of theatre above.
mc11.exe not Media Center.exe.

It will not switch the view if Media Center is already open for some reason...
