2 problems with AC3īs
« on: March 02, 2006, 04:33:35 am »

Problem number 1:
donīt know weather it is an problem with MC or with DFX but i have noticed a bug when playing ac3 files while having DFX enabled.
the sound is then very jumpy (donīt know how to say it: many short pauses and then playing again for half a second or so)
after disabling dfx everything is working fine.

a simple solution i could imagine: a option to disable DFX (or other plugins too) for special filetypes. esp. AC3/DTS donīt need DFX (for example) anyway in my opinion, as the audio quality is at top level already

Problem number 2:
audio analysis isnīt working for AC3 files for me. MC complains that i need the install correct directshow filters. but these are installed - and MC is also playing AC3īs without problems for me. only thing not working is the analysis.

Currently Audio Analyzer can not analyze 6-channel format.
