Hello again.
It drives me crazy when my Tivo crashes while playing a song, especially when I have people over...

It just happened to me and I decided to write a quick not to see if it is a function of MC.

Are these log entries normal?

If the TiVo itself is crashing, that's a bug in their software.  Even if it's caused by something wrong we've sent.  Can you report it to them as well?

What version of MC are you using?  You can copy your system info from MC Help and paste it here.

Well the Tivo has the dreaded 156 communication error.  I am sure there was no issue with the wired connection so it must be something else..

I will try tosee if it is certain songs today.

The log messages are normal, and aren't the cause of the strange behavior.

Is the TiVo crashing (rebooting) or is it a 1-5-6 protocol error? How do you restart?

Wow, big delay sorry.  The Tivo itself is not crashing.

It may have to do with certain songs.  I have one album that appears to cause crashes.  If I play the album through the Tivo it crashes after a few songs.  The same album plays fine in MC.

I am thinking some blip in one of the songs is causing the Tivo to generate this error.

I just got an XBOX 360.  Any chance there will be a custom server to serve out their mangled UPNP protocol?

I will try to do more tests as this issue drives me mad!  It crashes in the middle of dinner etc..

If you can narrow it down to a certain song, that'd be great.

I'm looking into the XBox, but it does NOT support UPnP, instead it uses a Microsoft specific "flavor" of UPnP that we'll have to license.
