Buying MC11 upgrade
« on: March 06, 2006, 09:07:22 pm »

I bought a new computer, installed MC10, forgot to hit the restore button.  I want to buy MC11.1 at the upgrade price and I have the license info.  I just don't know how to do it.

Download and install MC, Then goto help menu and choose restore or buy MC and then restore - I'm not sure which order the options are shown, it's been a while for me.

you must install and register MC10 first, then install MC11.1 and click on help > buy which will open a browser page offering you the upgrade price.

If you installed 11.1 without registering mc10, you're probably best to uninstall 11.1 (keeping the library files) and start again.
10 and 11.1 can co-exist on the same machine, but I'm unsure as to how smooth the registration/upgrade process might be if you choose that route.

Keep library backups (just in case) and have your MC10 registration info handy. When you choose the 'restore from internet' option, a page will load for you to enter the details.
