What is the field Mix Album used for?
« on: March 09, 2006, 07:51:44 am »

It is a non-user editable field. So what would set this field?

Non of my music has this field set, however curious as to what and how it is used.

I think that 'Mix' album is used for both 'multiple artists (complete)' and 'multiple artists (incomplete)' albums.

hmmm, I have many albums showing as Mult. Artist Complete, but none of those show anything for the Mix Album tag.

Since the Mix Album tag is not a calculated tag I am assuming that some "other" process sets this tag.  What process does this?

I just set a smartlist with the following rule: [Mix Album]==1.

I got all my 'multiple artists' albums and only those. So I think my previous definition is right but it is not shown into 'tag info' windows as a calculated data because it is not configured as a calculated data in the library, I don't know why. But, in a way or another, it is a calculated data:

Mix = true if 'album type' = 'multiple artists (complete)' or 'multiple artists (incomplete)'
