Axim as Handheld in MC11.1
« on: March 15, 2006, 09:50:11 am »

Anyone have any ideas as how to get an Axim x51v recognized by MC?

I haven't figured out how to add it as a network drive yet and would obviously like to have it cradled via USB instead.

The fastest & easiest way is for me to remove my CF card and use the card reader but hopingh to simply cradle it and have MC transcode some .ape files to it, or have files transcoded to the sync folder I guess.

thanks

Does it show up as a drive in Windows Explorer?

MC should detect it automatically when you cradle it.

Do Options > Handheld > Redetect Devices... if you don't see it.

I have tried the sync on XP & X64 systems with no luck. It shows up as a Windows Mobile Device in Explorer.

I got it working on the XP system with .46. I had to repair Active Sync and then tried w/o the CF card and then with the CF card.

I can't get the Axim or its CF card rec. on the x64 system and still have problems with it not showing up after a re-sync on WinXP SP2. I have to manually close MC; the redetect function isn't enough.

I plan on giving the x64 connection another go with some of these new versions of 11.1 coming out, unfortunately I probably won't get very far and will have to use the XP system for file transfer.
