Is there anyway to get the media type for a given track using the MC interface?
I can find FileType, but not media type.


Answer: Yes.
Using the Get method you can retrieve any field,
for example
currentTrack.get("Media Type", true);
returns the string "Audio" when
playing an audio track.
Where currentTrack is an IMJPlaybackAutomation object declared and retrieved elsewhere.
