Burn mp3 to cd
« on: April 03, 2006, 09:28:01 am »

Hey all!
I have A problem:
I can't burn mp3 files to cd, It's seems to calculate in minute rather than calculate in MB, so I get a error telling: 37 files - 176 min - 95:57 over capacity.

Why is it calculate in minuts and not in MB????

Please help!

If you are burning an audio CD the maximum duration for a 700 MB disc is 80 minutes.

You need to change the burning mode from "Audio CD" to "Data CD or DVD" if you like to burn an MP3 CD.

When you open the "Burn CD or DVD" dialog it probably displays "Audio CD". Click the drop-down button and select "Data CD or DVD" instead.

This is from the MC Help:

Quote
Create a Data CD or DVD

1.   Put a blank CD or DVD in your CD-RW or DVD-RW.

2.   Select the tracks you want to record or select a Playlist.

3.   In the Action Window, select Burn CD or DVD.

4.   Select Data CD or DVD, select the drive, and give the disc a name.

5.   Select the type of conversion (if any). See CD Burn Transcode Options below.

6.   Select Close Disk if you do not want to ever add more files to the disk.

7.   Select Next.

8.   Drag files into the Action Window.

9.   To modify optional settings (these are described in Options below):

·      To view, rename or remove the queued  tracks select Details.

·      To set the write speed, burn in test mode, eject after write, or play sound after write, select Options > Burn Settings.

·      To set folder and/or file naming conventions, select Options > CD/DVD Folder Naming and/or CD/DVD File Naming.

10.  Select the Burn button.

Check the Help for more information.
