Media Center Remote Green Button
« on: April 14, 2006, 03:28:20 pm »

I have a windows media center PC that came with one of those funky remotes with the big green "start media" button.

Is there any way to get my PC to launch JRiver (and preferrably go into full screen mode) when this button is pressed, instead of launching the Microsoft Media Center application?

I've been hunting and hunting for information to no avail.

I found Girder; it looks like it wants to take everything over.

I just want to change the program launched by the one button :P

http://www.promixis.com/

like you say - its a very flexible automation application for PCs - having never used Windows Media Edition I don't know if its surplus to your requirements but it is very cabable as a method of integrating MC with remotes, X10 and such...
