Setting Ratings from my Remote
« on: April 14, 2006, 04:22:51 pm »

I just installed my irman and am very happy that it works great...

Just one question.

How can I use my remote's 1,2,3,4 & 5 buttons to set the rating for the current song???

Doesn't look like you can using the included IRMAN plugin. But you can if you use Girder.

thanx for the fast reply

I don't like to have to use a lot of stuff to do one simple thing.

Do I need the irserver+girder for that?

(And what's the difference. What does irserver do and what does girder do?)

Not even sure what irserver is. :P

Basically Girder just intercepts all of the IR commands (instead of MC) and gives you a lot more power over MC than the IRMAN plugin does.

The latest version of Girder is $49.99, but the last freeware version of it can still be found on the net.
