Replay gain when burning CDs
« on: May 08, 2006, 02:42:54 pm »

The other day I used MC to burn a MP3 CD of random tracks for my MP3 boombox. I used the "no conversion" option in burn settings since they were already MP3 files. When I played it back, some songs were extremely loud, and some were so soft I had to crank the volume to the max just to hear them.

I think the quieter songs were probably those which I had analyzed with MP3Gain before I started using MC11. When I found MC11, I stopped using Mp3Gain but I guess the MC Replay Gain info isn't recognized universally like the way MP3Gain does it.

Is there anything I can do to have them all play closer to the same volume without having to run them through another analysis program? Maybe a setting I've overlooked?
