MC 11 doesn't recognize CD-Text
« on: May 08, 2006, 12:30:09 pm »

I have CD-Rs that were originally burned with CD-Text, but the MC application does not recognize the text.  I've verified that the text is there (plus iTunes recognized the discs).

Is there a setting to ensure that CD-Text is read during encoding?  If there is, i can't find it.

Thanks

Are you ripping the disks?  Are they audio format?

yes, ripping is the intent.  but as i understand it, the application is *supposed* to recognize CD-Text when the CD is placed in the drive, not just as a function of ripping.

yes, audio disks.  as mentioned, iTunes recognized the CD-Text upon insertion...

I was ripping a few old cd's (burns) today that I had forgotten about...cd-text was showing up okay. I think these discs were probably burned w/ EAC or Nero as I now burn discs exclusively with MC.

I am using these drives:
