accessing and managing the 'comments' field
« on: May 24, 2006, 08:41:09 am »

I'm not a developer but need a plug-in or standalone program to access, sort, search and otherwise manage the 'comment' field on thousands of audio files.

FYI, the files are mp3s of Coast to Coast AM broadcasts (Art Bell & George Noory) and each file has a short commentary in the 'comment' field.

Any comments or suggestions are very welcome.

You can add the Comment field to any View Scheme in MC and sort and search by it... not sure what else you're looking to do...

Also by pressing Alt and Enter you can bring up the quick tag editor,
which should allow you to edit comments quickly.

There is no comment field available in Tag Info, nor in Columns To Show in Customize Current View.

In Tag Info right click anywhere and select columns to show then show all fields.
Comment is under General.

In Customize Current View, click the Add button next to the Columns To Show, then choose Comment from the list of fields.

Thanks for the tip--this is exactly what I need to manage my Coast to Coast collection...
