Is there any chance that Media Center would include key detection among it's analyzing functions on the future?

I'm not really sure how complex this would be to develop or the algorithm is on itself.   I think as powerful as MC's database is for classification and searching purposes, a lot of DJ's would appreciate the chance to generate harmonically similar playlists just by selecting songs from a particular key.

My case is that i use Mixmeister as my favorite mixing program and this piece of software actually does what i'm looking for in terms of key detection, but it's library searching capabilities aren't as powerful as MC's.  Whenever i'm looking for a particular genre, mood, group of artists AND key on Mixmeister, it's a nightmare just to pick exactly what i'm looking for.

Has anybody some sort of the same issue?.

Maybe some plugin to acomplish this and save key information on a specific tag?

I am not sure how you would determine the "Key" music is in do you have any links on this subject?

Sounds like this key detection technology needs to mature a bit first.

Only 60% accuracy? As having done DJ work, I would not rely on 60% accuracy. Better to make the determination with your own ears and put your notes in the comment tag.
