I recently downloaded the Rough Guide for New York in iPod format, it is delivered as a directory of .GIF images.

I tried to transfer it to the iPod using MC11 - got an error message about unsupported file types or insufficient admin privileges.

Drag and drop with iTunes worked fine.

.GIF is a pretty common format. Is it not supported within MC11?

Gif is supported for playback in MC, but it may not be on the list of files that can be exported to an iPod.

Try adding it to our pdt.xml file.  If that works, let us know and we can add it to the default file.

Which iPod do you have?
