It occurred to me that having two sets of alternate playback options could be easily generalized into a system of presets. For example, playback options set to cross-fade, with slow stop, could be labelled by the user "My own mix". Playback options set to gapless, with immediate stop, could be a preset labelled "as artist intended". The presets would appear as items in the playback options menu - much easier to understand than "use alternate settings".
