Annoying problem
« on: September 15, 2002, 04:23:08 am »

Hello!

I'm from Sweden and so I have a fairly large collection of Swedish music. Now, our alphabet contains three more characters than English: an 'a' with a ring over it, another 'a' with two dots over it and finally an 'o' with also two dots over it.

The other day I noticed that all song names and album names containing these letter in them were corrupted. Instead of displaying the correct letters there were exclamation marks and questionmarks. Letters following the three in question were gone.

An example: 'Dansa Din Jävul' became 'Dansa Din J?!'

I have not had this problem until recently and I have no clue as to what might have caused it. All help would be very appreciated since I'm not keen on renaming all those songs another time. :)

Best regards,

Johan

have you ever seen what they Use in Korea, Japan And China?

I would never be able to write a letter to my mom.

I think I would have to draw pictures.

Are these new tracks that you have ripped or imported, or were they shown correctly before but now are being shown incorrectly?

Some of them are ripped, others imported. And, yes, they were shown correctlyl before. It must be that MJ somehow handles the three letters incorrectly in certain situation.

Point taken about the subject, Jim.
