Frequent Crashes with WinXP
« on: July 28, 2006, 11:47:23 am »

I am frequently getting an error message from Windows that says Media Center needs to be shut down. It seems to be happening about every 3rd or 4th CD that I load in to rip. It happens during the process of connecting to the YADB. I get a "failed to connect" message, followed by the MSWindows dialog box that says the program must be shut down. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I'm running the trial version of Media Center -- 11.0 -- and I think I want to buy the full version but this constant crashing has me a bit concerned. HELP! Thanks!

Please try the latest MC 11.1 build from the top of this board.

Thanks.

Are you saying if I pay for and install 11.1 that I won't experience these problems anymore? Also I'm fairly new to these forums, so I"m not sure what "build from the top of this thread" means. Thanks!
