Real Media Files in Library?
« on: August 01, 2006, 05:46:58 pm »

Hiya,
Is there any way to add RealMedia files to the library please?
I can get them to play by double-clicking, but they won't add to the library :(
I would convert them, but this is only going to take up time & space as I have over 12 gigs worth. (I also don't want quality loss)

Thanks.

MC should import them when you use the import tool. It won't add them to the library just by playing them. Make sure RealMedia is ticked in: Tools/Options/File Associations.

Nope, I'm afraid that did nothing  :(
I've just found the solution though- The library doesn't like the RM extension. Changing this to RV lets them work fine.

Would this be a simple code tweak somewhere?
