Tags problem, Please help..
« on: June 04, 2002, 02:06:34 pm »

Whenever I open MJ8(.0.289), The tags are changed, They are being cutted on the edges,

But only on hebrew tags, even short ones.

Why do I always have problems with this language, In the labeler and burning data CD also (already posted but had

no reply)

Please help.

I stopped using tags a year ago when it happend to me with old MJ version, but I do want to use those tags.

Hello Jim and good night (here it's 1:20 AM so it is a night for me)

I've just DLed the 293 and installed it, and nothing has changed, the tags that are in hebrew are missing the

first 0-3 letters and the last 0-3 letters.

Please do advice me.

Any help will be appreciated.

Any tags that were changed by earlier versions of MJ won't be better, but are there still problems with new tags you change?

I can say fur 100 percents, How Wierd it sounds, that the problem is reduced.

But still, When I import files, after using the (excelent) tagging tools and saving them, they are changes.

Even not like they were before.

(It is reduced becouse I can sea that in less, much less places it damages thaem)

Thankes

Oogi,
If you will do this, it will help us find the problem.

Send me a file ( jimh @ jriver.com ).

Give us detailed directions on what we need to do to re-create the problem.

Thanks,

Jim

This is a bit old...

Jim, when you say send me a file you meen the mp3?

'Couse if yes I can't.

But.

I'll try to explain what happens...:

Let say that I've just installed evrything.

1. I import files.
2. The hebrew files tags are wronge (all the fields)
3. I correct them as I want them to be.
4. Now, if I clear my libraries or reinstall, all the tags are changed agian, not like they were, just letters are missing, sometimes only 1 sometimes none and sometimes one is what is left.

Hope it will help someone to help me

Thanks ang have a Good Week,

English Is The International Language.

For Me I Am Glad I Do Not Have To Write With Hebrew Or In The Orient Languages, And Others..

Maybe If I Lived With It All My Life It Would Be Ok.

I Have Enough Problems Dealing With A Language I Somewhat know. (but can’t spell 1\2 the time).

But you got to love phonics.

Oogi,
Hard to say.  The name exists in the MJ library, in the filename itself, and in the ID3 tag.  Where is it correct?  Where is it wrong?

In file properties, you can name a file from the properties (library name) or fill the properties from the file name.  You might try one or two.

Hi Jim

I did use both of methods (took properties from filename and directory, and did changed fue myself),
and if I open the file with notepad, I can see that the properties are OK.
After importing them the properties are lost.

And there is another problem with hebrew (we do couse a lot of troubles) in the labeler, it writes latins letters instead of hebrew ones.

Hello all.

I know it's an old topic, but I'm still having tagging problems.

The problem hasn't changed a bit!
Please tell me what to do to make it easy for you to solve it. It is very uncomfortable to chang all the tags each time I import files.

Thank you very much,
Uri.

go to MJ8, Help then, System info, then paste it into your next message.

the latest version is here

ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaJukebox8.exe

since MJ8 did not support UniCode you may continue to have problems.

MC9 does support UniCode and may fix your problem.

if you own MJ8 you can Upgrade To MC9

You must start with a registered version of MJ8

Then Install MC9 and there is an Option There Under Help To Upgrade.

If you Bought MJ8 Before Dec 3rd 2002 Then The Upgrade Is Free for you.

Besides Then You Get To Use My Plugin (Chart, Bios, Lyrics And Cover Art Finder) Not Aval For MJ8.

Do Not Use MC9.1 yet there are some bugs

MC 9.0.180 is a good version.

But MC9 i think is worth it

There is no word on if there will ever Be An MJ9

if you have never used MC9 you still get a free 30 day trial.
