volume control
« on: June 13, 2003, 08:12:27 am »

I HAVE A PROBLEM THAT'S GOING TO GET ME FIRED.  BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A COMPUTER AT HOME, I HAVE  MEDIA JUKEBOX ON MY WORK COMPUTER. WHEN I SHUT DOWN FOR THE NIGHT THE VOLUME IS VERY LOW. WHEN I OPEN MEDIA JUKEBOX IN THE MORNING THE VOLUME IS ON FULL BLAST. NO ONE ELSE CAN GET INTO MY COMPUTER, IT'S PASSWORD PROTECTED. MY BOSS SAYS IF I DON'T SOLVE THIS I'LL HAVE TO GET RID OF MY MEDIA JUKE BOX OR FACE BEING FIRED. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE EITHER ONE.  HOW DO I KEEP THE VOLUME DOWN WHEN I SHUT IT OFF  ?

Yikes, hard core boss.

I don't think MJ is doing this though.  Some other program or even your sound card driver maybe. (try updating the sound card driver)

maybe disconnect the speakers overnight until you solve the problem (or get the boss some earplugs)
