memory shortage (slow weekend...)

Hey.... I have 4 gig of memory.... or I thought I did, my memory isn't what it used to be...  This is with a new Intel Duo Core E6700.

By default windows will only give 2GB to any process, if reserves the other 2gb for itself
you can change this, but only up to 3Gb look on http://www.jsiinc.com for "boot.ini" and the number 3

but even with the ?3GB switsh it will say that it has only 2 GB, right? that is what mine says.  ?

yeah that's right
unless they compiled the software properly with the right settings, you won't see the extra 1Gb

the exception is is you have a 64bit chip and you're running MC in 64 bit mode
but it's not JRiver's problem entirely - it's a lmlitation of windows

both the os and the software have to know about the 3Gb option
I guess JRiver just never took this into account
