Automation - Get all libraries?
« on: September 26, 2006, 09:14:55 am »

Once again, I must be missing something obvious. In the case where a user has defined multiple libraries, can I get all of those libraries from the Automation interface? And is there a way to set the current library? It seems that all of the interfaces work on the currently active library ...

Thanks in advance.

There's no way to switch libraries currently, sorry. Anyone else interested in this feature?

Actually, I would be. I was just thinking the other day how nice it would be if I could switch libraries using my remote on my HTPC. I haven't looked into see if it's possible with the MC commands, but if not, I could always write myself a little app that could be fired off from Girder to do it.

How would you do that - by sending windows messages, maybe? I don't think the MC commands, as far as I can tell, support enumerating or switching libraries ...

I'm building an HTTP server and web client, and would really like to be able to enumerate and switch libraries.

Well, if the SDK supported the library enumeration, then I would just write a little app that would just tell MC to switch between the two libraries. It would probably only be useful for me, though. :P

Just posted a question about this in the other forum.  This feature would be huge for me.
