I cannot get previously unimported cue files imported or even the tracks correctly displayd in Playing Now. I tried all available import methods.

Also, mpl files that contain cue tracks with playback ranges don't import the tracks correctly.

The old cue tracks in a restored MC11.1 library are fine.

Did you try to fix this? It seems that MC12 sometimes can make cue tracks from a cue file and sometimes not. MPL cue track import seems to be still completely broken. Usually I import cue and mpl files by first dragging them to Playing Now and then doing right-click > Import Into Library.

To demonstrate the bug I made a test package that contains the following items:

- sample media files: a two-disc DJ mix album in cue + mp3 format, cover images and an album info file (in web archive format).
- backup of an MC11.1 library that contains these sample media files.
- an MPL playlist of the same files

I converted the MP3 files to 40 kbps mono so they are only useful for testing.

Unzip the package to C:\. The zip file contains the correct folder path. (I imported the media files from "C:\Cue & MPL Test".)

Here's package of two additional files. It contains:

- a library backup file of an empty MC12 library that has only the library fields and view schemes. An mpl import should populate the library as it is in the following library backup file.

- a library backup file of an MC12 library that I made by restoring an MC11 library backup file. This is how the library should be after importing the mpl file.

It looks like the CUE files import, but the last track gets incorrect playback time (the value in the Duration field). MC11 had the same problem for a little while, but it was fixed back then.

MPL import does not work at all. All cue tracks get identical tags from the source audio file and the Playback Range field is not populated. Each track has the same duration with the source audio file.

Import the test MPL file only to a library that has not seen the CUE files yet. If the tracks are already available in MC's temporary database MC uses the old info and does not populate any fields from the MPL file.

If you check the contents of the test MPL file you may understand why the MPL files are essential for storing and transferring additional track info that cannot be included in the CUE sheets.

I noticed this as well in the earlier builds, but thought it too early to mention as they were working on GUI stuff

I expect they will get around to it.

1. Fixed: CUE file import would not properly get the genre, date, or length of the last track.
2. Fixed: Importing an MPL file with CUE tracks in it did not work properly.

I tried it quickly and most of the problems seem to be fixed. CUE files import correctly and also my test MPL file -- almost. I have an mht file (web archive) included in the test MPL file. Otto couldn't import it with the other files (the mht extension is included in the file types in MC's options).

When I dragged the MPL file to Playing Now also the .mht file appeared in the list.

The right-click > Import command seems to be still broken with CUE files and "CUE tracks from MPL files" if the files are just dragged to Playing Now without importing.
