file missing is not missing
« on: September 29, 2006, 10:37:13 am »

Another strange sync issue: MC (11.1.199) sometimes warns me about files allegedly missing that are both in my library and on my hard drive. I really can't figure this one out...

More info?  Internal/external/network drive?  Can you play the file from inside MC (all the way through the file)?  Could be  corrupt file issue.

Have you tried running an import on the directory containing the file(s) to 'fix' any linking problems with them?  Try doing that, then do an update library from tags on those files as well.

The only time that I have had this issue was when the files that MC displayed as missing were actually there, but zero bytes for whatever reason...can you play the files in MC?
