DVD import incorrectly reports external file changes
« on: October 10, 2006, 07:37:13 pm »

I mentioned this in an unrelated thread and want to ensure it is not lost...

Am observing incorrect import behavior with DVD's stored on local hard drive.

Each time I run "Check folders now" it reports external file changes for all of my DVD's, even though nothing has changed.

MC11 import works properly on same DVDs.

Yeah, at least a couple of us have noticed this also. This and other strange Auto-Import related things have been reported here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=36671.0

Thanks raym.

I read the thread you pointed me to. Just to be clear. My configuration is very simple with a few DVD's stored on my local drive (no network drives or media servers involved).

Each time I update my library MC reports that all of my DVDs have changed when in fact they have not.

I tried deleting the DVDs from the library and reimported (on assumption that error was caused when library was upgraded from 11 to 12) but problem persists.

Yeah I understood that your files where on a local drive. The other thread is about a different problem but I just wanted to point out that what you have observed was also noted but others.
