POLL: Never discuss politics
« on: October 10, 2006, 06:14:57 pm »

And now for something completely different.  Apologies to our out-of-country friends.

We've had some odd news on the political front lately.  I'm curious where things are going in the U.S.

If you're a U.S. citizen and likely to vote, how do you think you may vote this November?

Robbin Williams Is Not On The List.

Sometimes i figure whats the difference.

If the republicans are in the house they blame the democrats.

If the democrats are in the house they blame the republicans.

I like Leslie Stahl.

Or maybe Garrison Keiler.

Walter Cronkite would have been nice but I think he'd decline.

I'm on the floor laughing, trying to remember the initials.  Too many aluminium pans.

Based on the history of Polls on Interact, I'd say we don't really have our fingers on the pulse of America.  Of course, that's better than where a certain congressman from Florida had his fingers.

Oh, and didn't you see?

Foley really shouldn't be a problem for our ruling party after all!

I certainly prefer the punch cards to the fancy Diebold machines.  Not really because they're horribly broken and insecure and make stealing an election (again) a simple affair... No, its mainly that the light from the screen reflects off of my tinfoil hat and makes it impossible to see what's going on!

Seriously though... I'm really disgusted with both "parties" which more and more seem to be the same people with different makeup on.

Oh, and did you notice how on that Friday... You know, the one where they (and it was both of the theys this time too) made significant restrictions on habeas corpus?  The law, at the heart of our very freedoms (the ones "they" hate us for), that's been in effect for almost eight hundred years?  Yeah, the top story was about what?

Oh right... Sex.  Because that's the most important "issue" of the day.

It's Janet's boob, the cigar, and gay church sex all over again.  The ultimate distractor.   ::)   :-X

Lesser of two evils. Corruption runs manifest at all levels of American government.
There is a perfect pair out there for pres and vpres however: Lou Dobbs & Jack Cafferty.
Cheers to all the wizards of MC *smiles*

Wow. 90% Democrat. This must be that "liberal media" I hear so much about. I sure don't see much sign of it anywhere else.

couldn't take the poll, just a permanent resident.

Somewhat related to sex scandals, lies and corruption and the state of this country:

I for one will always see my Congressional thief Representative (Tom Reynolds) as the Assistant Manager at Denny's. Thank you to the fine folks at the Daily Show for so cleverly summing up Reynold's role in this sorry affair.

And if nothing else, it's nice to see that the Republicans tried to welcome pedophiles into their party. If that doesn't make them all inclusive then I don't know what will.  And if Congress isn't safe for a kiddie-lover than by God this just isn't an America I can love anymore.

I plan on voting Libertarian wherever they run a candidate. Democrat otherwise.
