Can't Rename File
« on: October 20, 2006, 01:36:55 pm »

Hi. From one album, one mp3 file does not respond to the "Rename files from properties" command. Whenever I try to tag/re-tag the file and then use this command, nothing happens, and the file tags remain blank (except the original "Name" field. Any ideas what I should do?

I assume you do not have the file in use, either by other applications or by MC.

Assuming the above, you may want to copy the file to another location.  Delete it in this location.  Copy it back.  Import the files again.  Then see if the rename works.

Hmm. It worked, thanks a lot, but why did it behave this way?

(Thanks again),

It's probably a Microsoft issue, not MC.  When I have these types of troubles, I use this workaround.
