I just started using MC12 (98):
Hope I can request my long time wish here:
1. Whenever it plays a list of say 1000 songs, the song - tag becomes bold, play icon comes next it etc. However when I use shuffle mode, I have to use vertical bar to go up and down to see where the song is located. Is it possible for the player to sort of show or automatically move the vertical scrolling bar to show where the song resides among a huge list?
This sounds reasonable at first glance...
but then i wonder whether it would be disorienting (maybe even scary) to have the list jump randomly to a random track. If shuffle is used, the expectation is to hear tracks out of sequence, so wondering why the track position is desired ?
You're not going to hear the next track if random has any say about it.
If that was not good enough, how about a smartlist that randomly picks trakcs and then just add those to PN. Now you have effect of shuffle + tracks in sequence.
2. I always browse to the folder (from drives link) and then play songs. Is it possible to have a feature like 'favorite folder' button and a click on it leads/open that folder's songs? It is bit cumbersome if I have multiple subfolders to get to the songs.
Ahh..the old winamp way of doing things.
Try using view schemes, for browsing, much more flexbile and powerful.

Course this depends on how well your stuff is tagged, but worth it.
