Replacing Rips with new ones
« on: October 26, 2006, 07:39:46 am »

Hiya,
Sure this is something several of you have had to do many a time as you all seem like a bunch of audiophiles.

I have a big collection of music I've built over the years, some of the stuff from way back is pretty bad quality and low bitrate etc.

I've re-ripped several of those albums now to much higher quality and what I want to do is to basically replace the old rips with the new ones but keep all the old track details, just save all the current database info though so I dont loose number of plays, date imported, etc. etc.

Whats the easiest/best way of doing this.
Sure there's some trick I'm just not aware of.

Thanks

Try to search for:

re-rip

@ MC11 forum. Set the message age to be 0-1000 days or so

Here's an example: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=36260.

I have answered this question several times. Also, I think marko has explained this well.
