Hi all,

I just activated replay gain, and it seems like it has some problems between songs,  when fading. the music sounds like when the audio level is set to high, but only whil e fading/crossfading. It's all fine the rest of the time.

I didn't have this problem in 11.

I have only yet tested it on one machine, but are there any others experiencing the same?

I think maybe i posted a bit early. There where songs not analyzed in my library, and these had to high peak level in total since they where not decreased by replay gain...

There's no need to remove threads like this. Other users may experience the same problem and find an answer here.


Previously I have requested this:

There's an ongoing replay gain topic in the main MC forum.

MC doesn't have a playback gain adjustment for unanalyzed files (e.g. podcast, internet radio, CD audio).

Some other programs have it like this:



It should work like this:

- Use Album Gain or Track Gain according to the selected option.

- If Album Gain is selected but unavailable use Track Gain instead.

- If both are unavailable use the user adjustable "Without RG info" value.

I suppose this would be easy to add.

I agree in your idea too. Would make it a lot better using replay gain.
