Panes/Playlists - weird results
« on: November 02, 2006, 08:23:55 pm »

Here is my main setup for AUDIO.  Notice how many Beatles albums are shown.  The only selection is "Beatles" across all the panes.  What I see is totally expected.

Then I added the left pane, using my playlists as the selection in group "Main".  Notice how the only selection is "Beatles", so I would expect to see the exact same list as in the first example.  But notice there are only a few Beatles albums listed.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?  This problem existed in 12.0.105 too, I don't know about previous versions.

I'd guess the missing Beatles albums are not present in any of the playlists that are included in your Main playlist group.

They should appear if you add a playlist of all music or at least all Beatles albums.

The playlist pane is set to ALL, meaning there should be NO filtering, as all the other panes work.

But, I'm always open to trying things I don't think will work... and your idea works perfectly.  I guess I can sort of understand the programming reason why, playlists are just different than the rest of the panes.

Thanks for the tip.
