Hello, Originally I started out with a trial version of 11.1, then when I purchased it the program came up has 11.0 Beta.  I've tried upgrading to 11.1 with no luck.  Is there anything I can do to rectify this?  Or do actually have 11.1, but the start up screen is wrong?  According to the "About Media Center" menu, I have version 11.0.93.  If you got any info I'd appreciate it, Thanks...s2s

a v11 liscence will work for v11.1 too.

Try hitting "Help > Check for updates" and see if anything happens, or check out the build thread pinned to the top of this forum.

Well, the update function states "no updates available at this time."  My problem could be that I originally received the trial 11.1 Beta Version on a CD.  I've checked the jriver webpage and cannot find where I should update my software.  If it requires a long download I may be screwed since I live out in the boonies and have dial-up service, therefore long downloads tend to get screwed up.

It seems I could use a bit more info, thanks for the helping hand...s2s

You would need to do the long download anyway. It doesn't matter if you start the installer from web or download it first. Everything must get through without errors.

Just download the installer first from here: http://www.jrmediacenter.com/download.html. Run it from your HD after a successful download.

After I wrote my last reply, I took the plunge and downloaded the entire version.  I was a bit hesitant since I didn't want to take the chance of losing any of my previous work.  No problem, everything downloaded correctly with no lost files.

There is one thing that I do miss from my previous version and that's the very small thumbnail cover art which used to appear to the far left of each cut.  That has now been replaced by a music note icon.  I checked the customized listing options, but could not locate that one.  Is that still available?

Other than that, and that's very minor, I love this program.  I have tested just about every music player/organizer and MC is by far the best.  Although, I still have MediaMonkey & iTunes as back up.  Hey, it takes quite a long time to transfer my LP's & Cassettes so I always go for some safety valves.
