Headphones
« on: November 09, 2006, 08:48:19 pm »

I have always hated headphones.  Unfortunately for me, I just can't get used to them.  I have a pair of decent in ear Etymotic's and am happy with their quality but I still have trouble using them because I always feel like I'm going to break them.

Does anyone know of a decent set of perfect headphones?

I'm looking for in ear headphones at less than $100 which have industrial strength cables and strong, thick junctions with a strong plug.  I also insist that they have a very unique and useful cable roll-up system.  They must have a spring loaded system which will wind the cable in.  Ideally, this would be on the plug end so it isn't in the middle to weigh down the headphones.  I just get so sick of tangled cables!

It's a tough issue and I doubt what I want exists.  Even this probably wouldn't be good enough.  I wish I could afford those Shure's (or whatever brand they are) which have a mic so you can hear what's outside without taking your headphones off!  They're like $500!
